LONGHI - EXPLAINED:
A longhi is a sheet of cloth, approximately 2 metres (6.6 ft) long. It is a type of sarong, originating from the Indian subcontinent, a traditional garment worn around the waist in Sri Lanka, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Myanmar and Thailand. It is particularly popular in regions where the heat and humidity create an unpleasant climate for trousers. Longhi is also known as a lungi, longi, kaili or saaram in the Indian sub-continent. Longhi’s can be sold unsewn or sewn like a Western skirt.
